The energy developed by most BB guns is 0.5 joules maximum - by comparison a funfair air gun is approximately 10 joules (20 times more). In normal use lightweight BB pellets would not penetrate the skin, but would certainly sting or bruise. We would not recommend firing at people but in any situation where the pellet could hit a person safety goggles and clothing should be worn.

Good model of the British Army's standard infantry rifle. Single action, plastic construction with some metal parts, weight 1970g, length approx 78.5cm, height approx 31cm, mag capacity 25 bb's, power approx 0.4 joules estimated range 20-25 metres. Scope has clear lens but does not magnify. recommended bb's 0.12g
